Expensive Bastion

Oh how I adore my hidden bastion
A secret hidden place to which I often retreat to
There I am free from critics of fashion
Mercifully safe from thievery of the heart

I wish it were invisible to the outside world
Invulnerable to it's hate and malice
So fearful I am of it being discovered
Lest those evils seep in as if they were droplets penetrating
A leaky roof

"Every refuge has it's price"
Mine appears to be an unfortunate side effect of
Such utter solitude
While I do gain a cetain peace the cost is little
Bits of my humanity tend to chip away here
All I can do is stare and watch as they float away...
