Thoughts on Love and War...

During those days
I was trying to sort out who are our rulers
Ironically you laid in ambush
within my perimeter
under my heart's shadow

As time went on
I discovered your presence
and trustingly led you through an opening in my walls
through which you conquered me
with your simplicity
Never firing one round...

Childlike laughter
Yet an old exchange
I wonder have we met prior...?
Was this advance your first...?
This union our last...?

I think of our beginings
How far from one another
We were when our lives began

Yet now I am overrun...

I smile, you laugh, it appears in this old war
You have won again...
