Dragon

 

How is it I can now eat whatever I wish
But I grew up starving
And pining and begging
Hand me down high waters
Cause I was too big for my age
too bright for my cage
My light shines on let them hate
my enemies begone!

Now I have become strong!
Too smart to figure out.
Too much clout.
Too many connections.
I will use these as my weapons!
Your oppression of me has ceased to be!
I can fly freely...

I have a confession.
How you did me wrong there is no question.
But if destroying me was your intention.
I must make a correction.
I AM STRONGER THAN I EVER WAS.
Just because.
So I thank you for trying to destroy me.
It helped me become the dragon I have grown
to be.
